Brownsville Baptist Church offers a wide range of services and activities. Please consult our church services schedule located on the left margin of this page. In addition, our church has a well stocked library for those who desire to read good books and watch excellent spirit filled videos. The library opens at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday mornings just prior to our scheduled Sunday School Program. Prior to Sunday School at 8:45 A.M., we have a spirit filled and enjoyable social gathering at our Sunday School Fellowship in the multi-purpose room. Early arrivals can enjoy a snack, coffee and juice before the learning begins. Everyone is invited. On Wednesday evenings during the fall, winter and spring seasons, we offer our Wednesday Night Supper for a minimal cost to those heading for Youth Programs, Adult Bible Study, Fellowship Groups or Choir practices. The Brownsville Baptist Youth Group (BBYG) has a very unique meeting place in the youth department that features activities, speakers and projects that challenge and keep young people excited about coming to BBC. Beginning on September 18th on Sundays from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., we feature the AWANA program for young people. The program is responsible for bringing many young people to know Christ as Savior and is led by a corps of trained workers with the youngsters at heart. Each year, the church sponsors the FAITH Ministry program that meets on Mondays from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. for those who want to put that extra effort into personal evangelism. The LLL's (Live Lively Longer) Adult Group meets on the second Thursday for a noon meal and enjoys numerous trips to the surrounding countryside on the third Thursday, when possible. From time to time this group will make week long trips all over the US as they gather, visit and share testimony with those they meet. Baptist Women on a Mission and Baptist Career Women have numerous activities available for women and these groups usually meet on Mondays in the afternoon or evening. Student Ministry During January and February Upward Basketball and Cheerleading are available for grades 1-6 children. Also at that time there is basketball league for senior high boys. During the summer there is Vacation Bible School, Children's and Youth Retreats, and a summer mission tour for high school students and many other activities for the church family. During the early fall there is Youth and Adult volleyball teams playing in the Haywood Baptist Association League. There is also a high school boys' soccer team in cooperation with the Christo Rey Baptist Church. Fifty-two weeks a year our gym is open for Adult Walking from early in the morning until late afternoon. Many adults of all ages find this a great place to walk in all kinds of weather. Another major factor in the church ministries program is the Women's Ministry, where the church women meet on the first and third Thursday of each month to prepare food for special functions, transients, homebound and ill members of the church and community. Brownsville Baptist is proud of its determination to keep the Brotherhood ministry alive in our church. The men meet each third Thursday evening to send food prepared by the Women's Missionary Union to Western State Hospital in Bolivar. On the following morning, the group meets for prayer at 7:00 to 8:00 A.M. in the multi-purpose room and a hearty breakfast. Throughout the year the church offers special study groups, church wide conferences and special meetings to encourage evangelism and community involvement. Music Ministry Our music ministry has many opportunities for members to use their God-given talents and gifts: Children's Choirs meet 5:45 - 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays during
